2. How can one reach Little Bird Kunal's Homestay?

You can reach Almora by road from major cities like Delhi, or Kathgodam.

By Road (Bus/Taxi/Self-Drive) Distance: ~370-400 km Time: ~10-12 hours, Direct Bus: Take a Volvo/AC deluxe bus from ISBT Anand Vihar, Delhi to Almora.; Overnight buses are the most convenient (depart around 8 PM, reach by morning).

Self-Drive/Taxi: Route: Delhi → Hapur → Moradabad → Rampur → Rudrapur → Haldwani → Almora

By Train + Taxi : Train from Delhi to Kathgodam: Trains like Ranikhet Express (15013) or Shatabdi Express (12040), Kathgodam is the nearest railway station (~90 km from Almora).Taxi/Shared Jeep from Kathgodam to Almora: Available right outside the station,Takes around 2.5 - 3 hours., Costs approx ₹1500-₹2500 for a private taxi or ₹400-₹600 per person for shared jeep.

By Flight + Road :Flight to Pantnagar Airport (nearest airport, ~125 km from Almora), Taxi from Pantnagar to Almora:(Takes around 3-4 hours.)

3. How far is the homestay from the market?

Little Bird Kunal’s Homestay is approximately 7 km from Almora town and its main market area. For daily needs, there are local grocery shops just 3 km away. Several restaurants in Almora also offer food delivery services directly to the homestay.

Additionally, there is a petrol pump, chemists, even ATMs are in the range of 6 km. If needed, local scooters (scooty) are available on hire, making it easy to explore nearby areas.

4. How many rooms are available at the homestay?

There are 4 Studio Rooms with attached washrooms and well equipped Kitchen.

There are 2 Single rooms (can accommodate 1 Person only) with attached Washroom. Kitchen access is not available with these rooms.
Standard rooms (can accommodate 2 people) with attached Washroom. Kitchen access is not available with these standard rooms.

Our studios are designed to enjoy the solitude and scenic beauty, especially, the play of colors during sunrise and sunset.Guest can access roofs of building wherefrom they can have a view of Himalaya and a 360-degree view of surrounding forests and other hills.

Each room at Little Bird Kunal’s Homestay is designed to comfortably accommodate specific guest numbers. Single rooms are ideal for 1 adult (single occupancy). Our Studio and Standard rooms can comfortably host 2 adults and 1 child below 8 years. For any additional guests or special requirements, extra charges apply. 5. What is the best time to visit Little Bird Kunal's Homestay?

The homestay is open all year round. For clear Himalayan views and pleasant weather, the best time to visit is from October to March. Summers are perfect for escaping the heat, and monsoon offers lush greenery.

6. How can I book a room?

You can book a room in a few simple steps:

You will receive a confirmation email shortly after.
Make the payment as per the instructions provided in the confirmation/ payment option given on website.

7. Do you provide meals?

Yes, we offer delicious home-cooked meals prepared with fresh, locally sourced ingredients. Guests can enjoy authentic Kumaoni and Indian cuisine during their stay.

To serve you better, we kindly request that you inform us at least 3-4 hours in advance if you would like to have meals at the homestay.

Additionally, there are several nearby restaurants that offer home delivery services, providing you with more dining options.

8. Is Wi-Fi available?

Yes, we provide high-speed fiber internet (up to 50 Mbps), ideal for remote working and streaming.

9. Is parking available?

Yes, we offer free and secure parking with space for up to 5 vehicles. The car drives down to the lawn/parking of the property (a rarity in the hills).

10. Are pets allowed?

Yes, Little Bird Kunal’s Homestay is pet-friendly and welcomes pets, including dogs, cats, and birds. We want your furry (or feathered!) friends to feel just as at home as you do.

Yes, in Studio Rooms guests have access to a well-equipped kitchen with gas burners,utensils, refrigerator, and microwave.

We have a kids' pool measuring 10'x4'x3', perfect for children to enjoy.

Guests can enjoy pine forest walks, riverside relaxation, nearby temple visits, local farming experiences, and Kumaoni cultural immersion.

For recreation at the homestay itself, guests can enjoy indoor and outdoor games such as badminton, ludo, and carrom.

For guests who prefer to do their own laundry, a common washing machine is available for use once every 3 days, keeping in mind the limited water supply and high operational costs in the area.
If you require daily usage, additional charges will apply.
